In November 2020, the Ukrainian Institute London and Cambridge Ukrainian Studies hosted an online festival of Ukrainian films, showcasing four gripping contemporary Ukrainian films and holding online Q&As with the films’ directors.
Since 2018, The Ukrainian Institute London and Ukrainian Jewish Encounter have partnered to co-host a number of events examining Jewish aspects of Ukrainian culture and history. Events have ranged from talks, to screenings, and journal launches.

The Institute of Contemporary Art, London, (ICA), in partnership with the Ukrainian Institute in London and the Oleksandr Dovzhenko National Centre, Kyiv, Ukraine, with support from the Embassy of Ukraine, presented a retrospective of Oleksandr Dovzhenko’s silent film masterpieces – the so-called ‘Ukrainian trilogy’: “Zvenyhora”(1928), “Arsenal” (1929), and “Earth” (1930). These films were recently restored by the Oleksandr Dovzhenko National Centre. The modern version features new soundtracks created by contemporary composers from Ukraine and Great Britain.
