Join us on 19 October for our second ever gathering — an exclusive evening with a special guest Serhii Plokhy, award-winning historian and professor at Harvard. Enjoy an evening of meaningful conversation in an intimate setting, with delicious food and wine — all while supporting the vital work of the UIL.

You’ll have the unique opportunity to discuss Serhii’s recent trips to Ukraine, hear his expert overview of Russia's war agains Ukraine, and discuss his latest book, The Nuclear Age.

Serhii Plokhy

Serhii Plokhy is the author of the New York Times bestseller The Gates of Europe and Chernobyl: History of a Tragedy, which won the Baillie Gifford Prize. His many acclaimed books, including Nuclear Folly, Atoms and Ashes and The Last Empire, have been translated into over a  dozen languages. He is Professor of History at Harvard University where he also serves as Director of the Harvard Ukrainian Research Institute.
