We’re delighted to invite you to our March Kaviarnia — a free and informal gathering to practise your Ukrainian over a cup of fragrant kava in a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
On Saturday, 7 March, our theme will be Music in Ukraine. Expect friendly conversation, plenty
of opportunities to practise the language, and a chance to connect with others who share your love for Ukrainian culture. Great conversation, good company, and tasty treats are guaranteed.Whether you’re a fluent native speaker or just beginning your Ukrainian language journey, this is the perfect opportunity to hone your skills, meet fellow learners, and immerse yourself in the language and culture while enjoying wonderful company.

Ukrainian language teacher
Olia Lupuliak
Olha Lupuliak holds an MA in English Linguistics and Literature from the National Pedagogical Drahomanov University in Kyiv and an MA in Comparative Education from University College London. She has been teaching since 2011, working in Ukraine, Hungary, China, and the UK. In 2018, she founded A+, a language school in Ukraine offering courses for all age groups, including free classes for disadvantaged families.
Since April 2023, Olha has been teaching Ukrainian at the Ukrainian Institute London, where she leads and curates the in-person Kaviarnia language sessions and manages UIL’s Ukrainian language social media channel. Prior to teaching Ukrainian at UIL, she taught English to displaced Ukrainians through the Institute. She is also currently teaching Ukrainian at the FCDO.
