The webinar will discuss Andrey Kurkov’s new and very timely novel, Grey Bees, translated into English by Boris Dralyuk. In this book, Kurkov dramatises the war in Ukraine through the adventures of a beekeeper.

Join the webinar to hear Kurkov talk about finding creative ways to represent the ongoing war, and pose your questions to a writer who has been called a Ukrainian Murakami and a post-Soviet Kafka.

Boris Dralyuk is the editor-in-chief of the Los Angeles Review of Books. He is co-editor of The Penguin Book of Russian Poetry, editor of 1917: Stories and Poems from the Russian Revolution, and translator of Isaac Babel, Andrey Kurkov, Maxim Osipov, Mikhail Zoshchenko, and other authors.
