The Russian invasion of Ukraine is not just a tragedy for Ukraine, but a catastrophe for all mankind. In becoming a benefactor of the Ukrainian Institute London, I hope that I can make some small contribution to preserving Ukraine’s cultural and artistic heritage during this time of desperate need.

James Walker,
Benefactor of the
Ukrainian Institute London

“Ukraine’s resilience and bravery in the face of brutal invasion deserves our deepest respect. It also offers profound lessons for Europe’s future. Anyone who wishes to understand the culture, history and people of this remarkable country should support the Ukrainian Institute of London. I am proud to do so.”

Nigel Gould-Davies,
Benefactor of the
Ukrainian Institute London

“From my home in Poland over the past years, I have seen many dear friends suffer under the tragic weight of what Russia has unleashed upon Ukraine, and the entire continent. Russia has destroyed cities, people, and landscapes, but they can never be allowed to destroy Ukrainian culture. In joining the Ukrainian Institute London as a benefactor, I seek to do my bit in the all-too-important, but oft forgotten war for Ukraine’s cultural independence, and ultimately- cultural survival.”

Madison Floyd,
Benefactor of the
Ukrainian Institute London

“It’s always a real privilege to support the Ukrainian Institute London. It plays an important role in spreading awareness of Ukraine’s rich cultural heritage as well as clarifying many misconceptions about my country’s past and present. I believe that this, together with the brave fight of Ukrainian people, contributes to building a better world – and not just for Ukrainians. I am in awe of what the Institute is able to achieve with limited resources.”

Oksana Dembitska,
Champion Benefactor of the
Ukrainian Institute London

“When the major conflict erupted with Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, I initially felt a sense of powerlessness yet a strong desire to assist. My motivation stemmed from the understanding that Ukraine is standing up for the West’s freedoms. Recognising that knowledge is essential, I acknowledged my limited understanding of Ukraine. This led me to discover the Ukrainian Institute London, which proved to be a revelation. Their courses, talks, and dedicated team have significantly expanded my knowledge and fostered a deep appreciation for this remarkable country. The experience has not only educated me but also ignited a profound love for Ukraine.”

Steven Lacey,
Champion Benefactor of the
Ukrainian Institute London
