UKRAINIAN FILM FESTIVAL

The Ukrainian Film Festival in London is the UK’s leading platform for showcasing contemporary Ukrainian cinema. Hosted by the Ukrainian Institute London (UIL), the festival brings together filmmakers, audiences, and communities in solidarity with Ukraine.

Since Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine in February 2022, interest in Ukrainian culture and cinema has surged internationally. Yet as global attention has shifted to other crises, Ukrainian cinema risks losing the visibility it briefly gained. Our festival exists to ensure that Ukrainian filmmaking receives sustained, year-round recognition — not as emergency programming, but as an evolving, artistically vital part of European cinema.
